While Mouse and Octavian are having a forbidden romance the other Pale Sands have a bigger problem, they have spotted the Thorn Bushes, the owners aren't going to allow another family to forage on their land, especially a enemy mob.
The Thorn Bushes are taken by surprise but they aren't backing down and a fight erupts, Meanwhile, Mouse has returned to the burrow completely covered in Octavian's scent and possibly carrying his pups. She has no idea of the fight and is taking care of the pups, Octavian is hanging around the burrow, this could be another risky move, but he doesn't care.
The Thorn Bushes have lost, but they have also scattered, the meerkats runs back onto their land, since they have no idea who is lost they make their way back to their burrow. Once back at the burrow they check to see who is missing, to their horror Siege isn't with them, Rogue and some of the others look out for their missing Dominant but she doesn't appear.
One meerkat that isn't concerned, is Siege's little sister, Antigra. Both of the sisters mated with Rogue, but Siege, being bigger and stronger, took the position of dominant female, now with her sister gone, the ambitionous female could finally become Dominant female.
Antigra walked off and made lead calls but none of the mob followed, she looked back at them, one female that stood in her way was Siege's eldest daughter, Warbeak. Warbeak is a loyal to her mother and she isn't going to make Antigra's chances of being a queen harder.
The Pale Sands were scent marking like crazy, some checked to see if any Thorn Bushes remained, but they saw nobody. However, deeper in their territory, Siege was hidding in a unused burrow, she only had a few wounds.
The Thorn Bush queen looked around, there was no sign of her group, but with her expecting pups she couldn't waste any time to look for them, the lone meerkat went off and started foraging on her own.
With her enemies gone, Phantom could relax, she looked at her family and decided to lead them home, the group arrived and saw Octavian, Phantom lead a charge towards him thinking that he might try to harm her pups.
Octavian ran off but Mouse was not so lucky, Phantom was furious that her wayward daughter had met with a enemy a second time. After biting her tail base the Pale Sands headed below ground for the night.
The next day Siege was up first, she lost her pups, although this is a sad moment she sheds no emotion, a figure appears close to the burrow, Siege perks up, could it be Rogue, it's Octavian.
Most of the Thorn Bushes are up, Antigra and Rogue are sitting a distance from the group, Antigra is grooming him and it's clear she is deciding to make her new position permant by mating with her sister's king.
But Antigra's pups are at risk, Warbeak is pregnant as well and she'll be having her pups after her aunt, Warbeak might killed the pu and this could be trouble, but right now Antigra doesn't care she is more interesting in love.
As for Siege, she doesn't know what to think, she decides that Octavian is a better mate than Rogue and she runs towards him, Octavian grooms her and they mate, after their meeting Siege heads for her own land.
Octavian decides to try roving at the Pale Sands, he already got Mouse in trouble and now he's looking for his next target, and Moth has caught his eye. But Moth isn't interested.
Siege has crossed the border and is making steady progress towards the burrow, but what will happen when she finds her sister not only in charge but pregnant? This could be a fight for dominance.

Chapter Three
Octavian's luck has ran out, Jockey sees what he's trying to do and runs at his little brother, after a fierce scramble Jockey pins his brother down, he begans to scent mark his younger brother and then goes over to his lady.
Weeks later Phantom is pregnant with Jockey's pups, Little Hedgehog has came above ground for the first time, and Mouse has made sure to keep far from her mother. Today one female is missing, it's Mouse's younger sister Moth, she's underground having her pups.
Phantom isn't aware of this, she has a more itchy situation to deal with, this burrow is getting to uncomfortable to stay in and soon she leads the group off with little Hedgehog in tow, nobody take any notice of Moth and she's left behind.
Soon the group has arrived at the water hole which is far from their burrow, there must be a reason for Phantom to lead the group this far, Moth, meanwhile, has woken up she leaves her three precious little pups and goes above ground.
But there is nobody around, Moth is a nervous meerkat since she was a pup and no being on her own with three pups might test the youngster to her limits, There is trouble in the Pale Sands.
Cleopatra is up to no good, she and Octavian are becoming to comfortable and this is a threat to Phantom and Jockey, the Dominant male decides to deal with his brother once and for all, he leads a group of males at Octavion, his brother sees them and turns to run, but he isn't fast enough.
The males give him a vicious beating and chases him off their land, a injured Octavian is now a lone Octavian, the males scent mark to remind him that this is their territory and then head back for the others.
Moth is getting more nervous by the moment, she goes below ground and check on her three pups Hawk, Moss, and Tadpole, she gives the three a cuddle and hopes her family will return and help her raise them.
But Phantom has no interest in returning to the burrow, instead she leads the mob to a new one closer to the water trough and the family begins to settle in, A long figure has appeared at Moth's burrow, it's Octavian, the smooth male is going to let himself be chased off easily and returning to the old burrow he would have a place to stay.
But going underground to investigate he runs into a frightened Moth, Moth looks up at her uncle with a terrified look, Octavian grooms her, they're unrelated to each other so this would do the pups good.
Weeks later Moth leads her three pups in the direction of the water trough, Octavian is keeping close although he's not really made it to being Moth's prince, the other Pale Sands sees them, Phantom decides to let Moth and the three pups in but Jockey isn't going to tolerate his brother and gives chase.
Belowground, are Phantom's newest litter, she need more members to care for them and with the three pups the Pale Sands will grow, but there is trouble.
The Thorn Bushes have crossed the border and are foraging in Pale Sand territory, it's hard since there is more sand and less cover to shelter in but at least there is food and the group is stuffing themselves.

While Mouse was struggling with being on her own with her pup, her family was having their own problems, while foraging the next day their vicious archrivals the Thorn Bushes attacked, being lead by Seige and her partner Rogue.
After a long fight the Thorn Bushes retreated but they left their neighbors unscaved, Phantom was worried by this action but then a figure caught her attention, Mouse was crepting towards the group with little Hedgehog in her mouth. Mouse didn't relize there was a battle and she might be unwanted but Phantom greeted her and allowed her back into the mob.
Once Mouse's pup was settled, Phantom turned her attention to the Thorn Bush mob's territory, something must of provoked them into attacking, and it was clear why, Seige had a litter of five pups, and five more fighters that would outnumber the Pale Sands even more.
Not wanting to take any chances Phantom lead the charge, at the Thorn Bush's burrow the pups were being babysitted by Bold, it was a bad move, Bold is hardly more than a pup himself, he is one month old and like his name suggests he's very bold.
The young male left the burrow to taunt a herd of antelope that he fail the noticed the Pale Sands, when Bold saw the group running towards him his courage broke and he fled, only to have a small band chasing after him.
The Pale Sands stormed the burrow and begun to dig out the pups inside, soon Phantom's sister, Cleopatra went below ground. Two of Seige's pups Sandy and Russet wandered further from danger into another chamber while their sister and brothers stayed.
Soon the three pups were dragging out of the burrow and killed, but before any one could go below ground for the remaining two pups the Thorn Bushes arrived and a vicious battle broke out, The battle raged on and one until two of the Thorn Bushes managed to get the pups out before they fled.
Even though the Thorn Bushes were large and had a proudly large territory, they didn't have any burrows close to their previous one so they had to run farther and with the Pale Sands following, the group stopped when their rivals crossed a dirt road before they set claim to their new patch.
Weeks later all the pups are weaned and now Phantom was ready to mate, while the mob was foraging in their new part two Thorn Bush males apeared, the biggest one was Smoky, the nephew of dominant female Seige, and the other one was the playboy of the desert, Titan, who was Hedgehog's father.
Smoky went over to Rose, and groomed her but Jockey spotted him and gave chase, what he didn't relize was that he left Phantom alone, Phantom slipped away from the group to forage in peace and Titan spotted her.

However, this morning Phantom notices that one of her eldest daughters is absent, Mouse is from Phantom's very first litter and she was named for her timid and otherwise, gentle nature. However, this isn't the first time Phantom has noticed anything different, Mouse has been gaining weight over the last few months and that isn't normal.
Phantom looks at the burrow wondering why her daughter is sleeping in, although there isn't anything bad since today is her own litter's first day out of the burrow, the pups called Jester, Joker, Mask, and Hearts aren't hesitating as they emerge and soon join their family.
Mouse soom comes above ground and Phantom notices she is walking oddly, She can tell that her wayward daughter has broken the rules. Mouse must be pregnant and this makes Phantom outraged, Mouse, who should have known better, had choosen her pleasures over her common sense.
But, Phantom decided to deal with the troublesome female later, right now she would wait, it seems Mouse will be having her litter and then the dominant female would give her daughter some tough medicine.
Phantom sent lead calls and led the group out to forage, her four pups tried to follow but the two babysitters, sisters Copycat and Mimic quickly herded the pups back to the burrow.
Around midday Phantom noticed Mouse was sneaking back into the group, while the young female was foraging Phantom went back to the burrow, she snuck into the burrow and investigated she soon found the pups and went into the chamber.

Mouse picked little Hedgehog up and carried her out of the burrow where she was attacked by Phantom, in fear Mouse and her pup fled running as fast as they could, With her point made clear Phantom trotted back to her group and settled beside her mate, Jockey.
Jockey was a large male meerkat and he was a bruiser, he was also very protective over Phantom especially when she was ready to mate. The dominant paired groomed each other to make their bond stronger, meanwhile, Mouse was miserable.
The young mother had found a unused bolt hole that was far from the group and burrow and settled herself inside, but she felt lonely and sad. Mouse was also ashamed of herself for falling for the rover's advances but she couldn't change the clock and no matter what she couldn't leave Hedgehog either, Mouse was now putting her life and the life of her pup at risk, but the young meerkat doesn't want to try to rejoin the group yet.
